What to Expect
It’s not easy visiting a new church for the first time, we understand. At River Oaks Christian Church in Jenks, we provide something for everyone. At the ROC, we want your first time experience to be relaxed and an enjoyable service for you and your family. You may have questions concerning dress, how to get here, and if we have programs relating towards kids, which we’ve provided below, so here’s what to expect at The ROC.
What time is service?
River Oaks Christian Church holds service every Sunday at 10:30 AM. Prior to Sunday service, we have Small Groups that starts at 9:30 AM, and a brief coffee and snack time at 10:10 AM until service. If you do have children, they are more than welcomed to attend service or go into the nursery or if they are old enough they can attend JR worship.
Where is The ROC?
You can find River Oaks Christian Church at 300 N. Elm Jenks, OK 74037. It is located down the street from Jenks High School and the library.
How should I dress?
At ROC, we want you to feel comfortable. Our ministry encourages you to attend church and not have to worry what you’re wearing.
What should I do when I arrive?
When you arrive, you will want to park in the parking lot and enter our main entrance doors. Once you’ve entered the church, you will be greeted by our friendly Sunday greeters. You will receive a program related to the material for that service, along with a connection card that you’re able to turn in at the end of the service. If you have any questions when you arrive, feel free to ask one of the greeters and they will gladly help you out!
What are the sermons like?
Our goal at River Oaks Christian Church is to have our members reach upward in worship, inward in commitment, and outward in evangelism. The sermons are based on the timeless truths of the Bible in a way that you’re able to engage, relate, and applicate to your life.
Is there a children's program?
The ROC offers an inviting and fun children’s program during the service. We offer a nursery and JR worship, along with various children classes. If you decide to drop your children off at the nursery, they will be occupied with our nursery care givers with fun Bible lessons, various activities, and games to help them build a stronger spiritual foundation. Once the service is over, you will need to pick up your children.
What's available for students?
At River Oaks Christian Church, we have classes ranging from children to high school. These classes are offered on Sunday mornings at 9:30 AM, and Wednesday nights at 7:00 PM to further study the Bible.
What's offered during the week?
During the week, The ROC has a ladies’ bible study on Tuesday nights, a Stitch and Chatter session twice a month in the morning on Tuesdays, prayer meetings, and Wednesday Study for all ages.
How do I get connected?
Getting connected within the church is from attending, serving, and being sociable with other church members. You will spiritually grow while making new friends.
